Leaving JFK in New York with Lufthansa Jumbo...

Entering the Crossair Jumbolino LX662 to Palma di Mallorca

Co-pilot and former school friend Arndt Bürgin
behind the cockpit

During the flight I was allowed into the
cockpit of Co-Pilot Arndt and Pilot Alex.

Where we had a great sunset view

The cockpit and instruments of the Crossair Jumbolino

Sightseeing in Mallorca the next day -
beautiful sunshine

At the luxury port :-) The ferrari...

In front of his boat with heliport

Oops, I hope Candice never goes in this pub

Tennis courts in the mountains

Kurt on his way to the golf course

With winds more than 120km/h, the hurricane blasts
over the island, hundreds of trees fall

Just next to our apartment, the street gets almost blocked
by a fallen tree

At least the ducks have their fun, swimming
on a golf course green :-)

Flooding everywhere, even at this quiet place

To the left is the ruin of the hut, where usually people
wash their golf equipment after a flight
Our ferry does not leave the island, due to stormy
water and waves 6 - 8 meters high

Dad and I spending two days more than expected on
the island. Stealing spoons for eating yoghurt :-)

This is the smaller and faster one of the two ferries.

Then finally, after two days, the big hull of the ferry
opens to let us drive in and do the wacky ride to
Barcelona. Waves were "only" 4 - 5 meters by then

...the captain gives the go-ahead! Ready to leave!

We had a comfortable suite for us to sleep.
The journey lasted 7 hours from Mallorca to Barcelona.

Even with high waves we didn't get sea sick

Monster waves are approaching our ferry.
At 8pm we arrived in Barcelona, and drove
straight on towards Switzerland. This took us all night
and we arrived by 8am next morning, always switching
drivers. No pictures of this uninteresting drive, sorry :-)
